RECEPTIONIST/MEDICAL ASSISTANT: Auckland Inner
An opportunity for an experienced nurse or medical receptionist to work in their boutique medical and travel health clinic in Auckland CBD. They are looking for an energetic person with personality and motivation to undertake a variety of reception and medical duties including: • Reception, telephones, appointments, filing, incoming and outgoing mail • Dealing with sick or distressed clients in a confident, calm and reassuring manner • Use of computers, photocopier, printers, internet and email • Use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Paradox, their in-house dos-based programme • Preparation of tax invoices and receipts • Balancing of the cash and electronic tills • Ordering of office, medical and vaccine supplies • Recall of patients for various medical procedures and check ups • Arranging referral of patients to radiology, paramedical and specialist services • Cash sales of travel health and first aid products • Accounts receivable from private individuals, health providers, private and insurance companies • General office and specialty cleaning including sterilisation procedures • Temperature monitoring of the vaccine fridge • Collection of laboratory specimens including phlebotomy • Administration of medical test procedures including pregnancy testing and urinalysis • Providing general travel health advise in response to website, email, phone or direct enquiry.

You will need: • Excellent spoken English • Open mindedness and flexibility to carry out a wide variety of duties and multi task.
They would prefer: • Reception, medical, nursing or laboratory experience.
Hours: • Initially part time, to be negotiated.
