Receptionist/Administrator Fixed Term role

Whangarei Youth Space is a one stop shop for young people aged 12-24 and is based on youth / adult partnerships. It provides a place to belong, with easy access to support, development opportunities and youth specific health services.    It is a charitable organisation and is unique in that young people are a key part of the service development and leadership, a youth service truly with young people at its core.

  • In this vital role, you will provide a professional first point of contact as well as delivering the administration functions of our youth health service.
  • Your bright, bubbly personality and friendly professional manner will ensure our callers and visitors feel welcome and attended to and our health service administration is high quality.  With your ability to prioritise tasks and effectively manage your time, you will ensure the smooth running of a broad range of administration tasks in this truly varied role. Youll also have great attention to detail, accuracy and a high degree of discretion.
  • Keeping cool under pressure will be second nature to you and you will be able to think on your feet and problem solve any issues you may encounter. Your approachable nature means you love working as part of at team and youre always willing to pitch in and help to get the job done.
  • You can communicate effectively with people of all levels, have a positive attitude and a great sense of humour. Youll have computer experience and bring excellent Microsoft Office skills with the ability to pick up new systems easily.
