EPL is a core part of New Zealands education sector and manages the payment of the people at the heart of our education system. We are responsible for paying 100,000 teachers and support staff in 2,500 schools every fortnight, which involves approximately $190 million per pay period and $4.9 billion per annum.

We have opportunities for two experienced Payroll Adoption Specialists to join the Sector Capability and Service Design team.  If you are passionate about the successful delivery of change and want to be part of a customer focused, learning organisation, this may be the role for you.

We are enhancing our service and technology to make payroll easier for schools and to improve results for schools staff. We are working closely with schools and their representatives to develop new features of the payroll system. This will result in rolling out changes to all schools through planned stages and with plenty of support.

The Payroll Adoption Specialist role will be responsible for supporting the development of change initiatives, collaboratively , and the building and delivery of end user capability.

Our ideal candidate will have the following:  

  • Demonstrated experience supporting the successful delivery of change to large and dispersed user groups
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work well and collaborate with others, including customers
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to effectively work as a member of that team to successfully achieve objectives and results
