We are currently seeking applications for a full-time permanent Industrial Automation Electrician. This role will be supporting our team on our 3 Waters contract for Nelson City Council, working from our Richmond depot.
We are a small, successful team of electricians who want to explore boundaries when it comes to the automation of critical infrastructure. We specialise in the control, communication, monitoring and flow/level recording of field devices whether inner city, rural, power or solar. Some of these devices could be in pump stations, or manholes in the road or in rivers, but our main focus is we make sure Water and Wastewater flows 24/7 to our city.?
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Electrical Automation services of the highest quality to all commercial and industrial clients and maintaining and enhancing specific customer relationships. The work will require you to be eager to learn constantly and explore solutions by thinking outside the box. It will push your creativity and you will be embedded in a team who enjoy providing outstanding service and state of the art solutions for the client.
You must have NZ registration as an Electrician and experience in the Industrial Automation field. You will have the ability and genuine interest to work with PLCs, RTU?s, Telemetry systems, and control devices. Ideally, you will have experience in complex fault diagnostics & repairs, programming of Scada, kingfisher etc. as well as the ability to install and commission minor projects.?You will be able to operate autonomously, without supervision, as well as being available for call outs.?Your great communication skills will ensure you operate well in a high-performing team that delivers outstanding service to its customers.?
We also expect you to be competent and comfortable working in confined spaces and hazardous areas, along with an excellent understanding of Health and Safety.?
Training will be provided for areas where you do not currently have experience in relation to specific brands of equipment in our network.?You will be provided with a vehicle, laptop, tablet, mobile phone, specialist tools, and all health and safety equipment required for this role.?
