locally based corporate that has a strong track record of growth in an industry sector where they are now seen as a leader in new innovation and development. Their finance team is well established but due to the growth needs to add an additional position to the team.

Reporting to the CFO this is partly an existing role that has also been reshaped to meet the future business needs, but also recognises the complexity and challenges within their reporting requirements. Working closely with the Accountants for three subsidiary operations this role will take responsibility for the consolidation of the external financial reporting, ensuring they are fully compliant with the IFRS reporting requirements. The accounts processing at a transactional level are managed separately, so there are no direct reports but this is a team effort where you will need to lead and facilitate how the reporting comes together within an agreed timetable. In addition the role will focus on the future business process development that has already been undertaken with the introduction of new finance systems, as well as other involvement in other business and finance led projects.

This is an excellent opportunity if you are a CA qualified Accountant, who has probably trained in audit but is looking for that move into the corporate sector. If you have already gained some relevant financial reporting experience either locally within another corporate or overseas as part of your OE, working say on contract in UK based corporates then that is a bonus. While the technical reporting requirements are important, this position offers the right candidate great scope for career development especially where you want a career path through to financial controller level.  To be successful in this role you will need to be well organised with a proactive/solution focused approach, be able to demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business. The salary level is in the range of $100,000 – 120,000 depending on experience.
