Accounts & Finance Manager

We seek a confident and capable candidate to manage accounts and payroll for our two busy central Auckland restaurants as our business continues to develop and expand.  

This role will require up to 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and may be suitable for a person with accountancy qualifications who currently wishes to work only during school hours.  Our office is based in Central Auckland's Viaduct Harbour.

The ideal candidate will be a person who will contribute to our management team with attention to detail, excellent reporting skills, sound ideas and a desire for continuous improvement, as well as a knack for managing people.

Duties include:

  • Entering creditors invoices
  • Creating debtors invoices as required
  • EOM reconciliations
  • Weekly/monthly reporting
  • Statistical analysis to predict business trends
  • Payroll for 50+ employees
  • File PAYE, GST
  • Banking / cash reconciliations

Requirements:

  • Accounts Clerk experience and/or CA qualifications
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software
  • Experience with payroll software (Ace Payroll preferred)
  • Understanding of NZ employment legislation
  • Advanced skills in MS office, specifically excel
  • Understanding of Restaurant POS systems an advantage
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
