Based in Onehunga this company is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts/Office Manager to deal with a range of duties including:

·          Preparation of monthly management accounts

·          Cashbook and bank reconciliations

·          Banking

·          Cash flow management

·          Preparation of tax compliance work, GST.

·          Creditor and Debtor control

·          Invoicing

·          Wages and PAYE return preparation - Managing timesheets

·          Processing of Invoices

·          Administration and Office Management - Staff Management

.        Maintaining office services by organizing office operations and procedures;                      preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems;                        reviewing and approving supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring clerical                functions.

  • Providing historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
  • Maintaining office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
  • Designing and implementing office policies by establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments.
  • Completing operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Keeping management informed by reviewing and analysing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
  • Maintaining office staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintaining office staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Achieving financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; preparing tax compliance work; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.

You will need the ability to take ownership and accountability of the accounting function up to trial balance sheet level.Advantage if you have experience with IMS Payroll and Xero. You will also need to be proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook, have a professional and articulate phone manner and attention to detail.Business qualification required. Advantage if you have experience in Food industry (cured meats) and factory production procedures.

Hours are 40 hours per week
Salary will be in line with experience.
