Assistant Accountant / Accounts Administrator – Eden Terrace

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant / Accounts Administrator for a rapidly growing client based in Eden Terrace.  They have recently expanded into upmarket home construction, plant hire and civil works and include one of Auckland's leading project management firms.  You will work alongside the group's office manager and will also work closely with the rest of our client's team, being primarily responsible for delivering the efficient and friendly admin support their recent additions need.

Key responsibilities include accounts payable, payroll, sales invoicing, credit control, data entry, GST, banking, cashflow, monthly reporting and general office management for their upmarket home construction, plant hire and civil works businesses.

You will be comfortable with Xero and / or MYOB, Excel and Word, experienced with looking after payroll, PAYE and GST in small businesses and have a mature, proactive approach.

This is a small team so you must have a "can do" attitude and be prepared to get involved in the day to day and take ownership.

This is a full time role and remuneration will be attractive to the right person. 

Some familiarity with construction and / or project management  would be useful but is not essential.  What is key is the experience and ability to look after the businesses day to day admin and get involved.
