We're on the lookout for Senior Payroll Administrator to process our payroll and provide our business with quality payroll information. We're a busy team with a hunger to continually improve the way we do things, and this role is pivotal to our success.

We looking for someone with the skills & drive to process our payrolls, manage organisational payroll process & individual payroll queries, prepare reporting and help with ad-hoc payroll projects. We have recently updated our payroll system to chris21 and we're now looking for someone to help us take the system to the next level in delivering value to the business!

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, there is real scope for this role to get involved in a number of payroll projects such as preparing analysis and undertaking key payroll initiatives to help you to broaden your skill base.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Timely and accurate payroll processing
  • Fielding payroll queries from internal and external customers
  • Preparing reporting and metrics
  • Providing analysis to the business
  • Ad hoc projects/ initiatives

About you:

We're looking for an experienced payroll person with loads of initiative and drive who loves to find a 'better way'. Our ideal candidate will need:

  • Demonstrated Payroll expertise. Ideally, you have used chris21 before, and have experience with Time & Attendance systems
  • You have NZ payroll processing experience and are familiar with legislative requirements. Australian payroll experience would be an advantage!
  • Strong administration ability, high attention to detail with an organised and structured approach
  • You're customer focussed with an approachable manner and can build effective relationships with our internal & external customers
  • Proven analytical skills, comfortable producing and checking payroll information and using excel
  • Ideally, you have an eye for continuous improvement and are proactive with a can-do attitude
