Established in 1994, Ngāi Tahu Property is one of the largest property developers in Te Waipounamu (the South Island). Our development activities include residential, commercial, industrial and retail projects, such as the $85million office and car park development in central Christchurch. With continued growth in the South Island, Ngāi Tahu Property has established an Auckland office, looking to maximise the extensive opportunities offered by the Auckland property sector. 

We are now looking for a Management Accountant to join our Christchurch based team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is predominantly an accounting and financial business support role, providing accurate financial information and analysis to support decision making within the business. Ideally you will have membership of NZICA or be working towards it, with a relevant qualification in either finance or accounting, together with sound knowledge of analytical and management accounting techniques. You will have the ability to build positive working relationships with staff across the organisation as well as be highly competent in the use of spreadsheets and accounting software. 

Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
•    management reporting, including full financial statements
•    financial forecasting
•    project status reporting for development projects
•    compilation of GST returns
•    participate in the year end audit and supply information to external auditors
•    complete statutory financial statements and group reporting packs
•    recommend and implement process improvement opportunities for financial systems and internal controls

You will have a high commercial acumen, high attention to detail and advanced analysis skills.
