Our client is a leading Christchurch based company that designs; contract manufactures; imports and distributes a range of fashion apparel. Based in Christchurch they are well established and continue to develop their business across both New Zealand & Australia.

Reporting to the General Manager the Accounting & Administration Manager is supported by a small administration team and will assume hands on responsibility for the account processing, accounting and administration functions. Key duties will include the debtors and creditors processing, the payroll function, bank reconciliations, general ledger processing, GST returns and the month end accounting procedures. In addition the role will support the General Manager with a range of credit management, sales analysis and reporting. Externally the role is supported by a Chartered Accountant and the role offers further scope for development both in respect to the business systems and reporting.

To be successful in this role you will need to bring a broad range of accounting experience and good computing systems skills, with the ability to plan and multitask in what is a busy and varied role. While formal qualifications are not essential, we do see this role appealing to candidates who are part qualified or Accounting Technicians who are seeking a new challenge, where they can be more involved and play a key role supporting a small management team. The other key attributes we are seeking is a positive approach, good communication skills and strong attention to detail.
