Who are we?

The Christchurch City Mission is a social service agency working with those who are poor, sick, addicted and lonely.  People of all ages, races, religion and gender who have a need are treated with dignity and given the help that they require.  With more than 70 full and part-time staff, plus approximately 180 volunteers, the Christchurch City Mission is a growing organisation, providing a range of essential services across the city and beyond.

 

About the Position

The Accounts Assistant role is a 20 hour per week position, Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 12.30pm (there is some flexibility with start and finish times), with a broad range of accounts based tasks and responsibilities. 

This role is to assist with the accounts payable service for the City Mission.  As a division of Anglican Care, the accounts payable function is primarily carried out centrally, with this role being the 'front end' of this process.

 

Ideal Appointee

Our ideal applicant has previous experience in an accounts based role, and is an efficient administrator.  You will have great organisational and time management skills, and be a competent and effective communicator with proven ability in Word, Excel and Outlook.

We're looking for someone who is open to flexibility in terms of the day to day nature of their role, is a team player and is able to bring a great personality and sense of fun to our team
