As we are an Approved Teaching Employer (ATE) the management style is very supportive and collaborative and you will undergo consultative training and development while completing challenging work. The duties and responsibilities involved within this role will include:

  • All day to day accounting functions (MYOB)
  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconciliations
  • Invoices
  • End of month, trail balance and general ledger accounting functions
  • Credit control
  • Payroll (IMS)
  • PAYE and GST
  • Entering and balancing rents for Property Management department
  • Completely monthly reconciliation and pay-out to landlords

Skills and experience required to be successful in this role include:

  • Have previously worked within an similar accounts role – able to hit the ground running
  • Transparent in your approach
  • Remain calm and collected under pressure
  • Makes good use of your initiative and gets on with the tasks at hand 
  • Flexible, adaptable and approachable
  • Takes responsibility, ownership and accountability for your role and actions
  • Strong relationship building and people skills
  • Experience with Gateway property management system
