Job description

In this role you will manage (sole charge) a portfolio of SME clients who require ongoing bookkeeping support. Our clients range from sole traders to global exporters, ensuring that the daily life of a GoFi8ure mobile bookkeeper is always varied and different. This role suits an ambitious, career focused individual who is genuinely looking for a role that can challenge them and that they can add value in. You'll love the hands-on nature of accounts, but will also enjoy working independently when you're 'mobile' visiting your clients.

Duties and responsibilities

• Bookkeeping to Trial Balance

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations

• Prepare, reconcile and file returns - GST, PAYE, FBT

• Complete month end Management Accounts with preparation of budgets and forecasting

• Set up, process and reconcile payroll and PAYE

• Fixed Asset management and cash flow forecasting

• Financial analysis, providing recommended course of action to make improvements

• Preparation of data and paperwork for yearly Tax Returns

• Annual Financial statements for board of directors and audit review

• Provide one on one Xero and Bookkeeping training

You will be a proactive individual with the ability to identify improvement opportunities from a systems and process point of view along with driving performance within the business. If you are a person who likes to sit at your desk all day doing the same old thing, then this is not the job for you.

Skills and experience required

• Accounting or Bookkeeping Certifications / qualifications (CA qualified) and senior accounting skills are essential

• Be a Xero and MYOB Certified user (4+ years' experience)

• Have 6+ years small business accounting experience

• Display strategic thinking and strong business acumen

• Extensive previous work experience in New Zealand

• Excellent spoken and written English language and advanced communication skills. Your ability to communicate with clients and the GoFi8ure team on a daily basis is the key to your success

• A strong attention to detail is essential

• High-energy and service orientated – you're fantastic at building relationships

• Dealing with any situation in a timely manner and meeting deadlines is important to this role

• Confidence, ability, agility, competence, quality and expertise required. This is an A+ role and requires an A+ Superhero.

• The ability to juggle and deliver on multiple deadlines
