We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to take up the role of Accounts & Office Assistant, working within both our retail and wholesale operations, based at our office in Central Auckland. 

We are looking for a highly organised individual to perform a variety of accounting, clerical and financial tasks. Reporting to the General Manager, you will also work closely with the HR & Store Operations areas of the business and time management and excellent communication skills are essential. You will have proven accounts experience & high proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports, reconciling bank statements & store figures, processing payroll and weekly stocktakes.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the Management Team
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records, review & resolve discrepancies
  • Reconcile banking and accounts, review & resolve discrepancies
  • Compile reports/summaries on activity areas
  • Facilitate & Process Store and Warehouse Stocktakes, analyse data
  • Maintain and Process Payroll including reviewing timesheets, following up with stores
  • Process store refunds and other financial tasks as required
  • Draft & send out employee contracts
  • Other Tasks (Collect & sort mail, order Office and warehouse stationery & supplies)
  • Provide assistance and support to company personnel

Requirements:

  • Proven accounting experience & familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
  • Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software and Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports, filing and record keeping tasks
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, and an aptitude for numbers
  • Data entry and word processing skills
