Part-time Flexible Hours - 25 hours to 30 hours per week, Broadly Based Accounting Role with Variety, Interesting and challenging.

The Architectural Roofing Company is a leading South Island niche business that provides specialised roofing and cladding solutions for high profile residential and commercial buildings. Some of the more notable projects include the Knox Church, the Christchurch Bus Interchange and currently the Christchurch Town Hall. Based in Christchurch and Queenstown the Company is well established and continue to develop their business throughout the South Island.

Reporting to the General Manager Christchurch, the Accounting & Administration Manager is the key finance role for both the Christchurch and Queenstown operations and will also lead a small finance and administration team.

The role will assume a hands on responsibility with key duties including debtors and creditors processing, bank reconciliations, general ledger processing, daily cash flow management, completing and filing Bi-monthly GST returns and finalising month end accounting procedures through to the completion of the month end Management Accounts. In addition, the role will support the General Manager with a range of credit management, sales analysis and reporting functions.

The role offers further scope for development of the business systems and reporting.

Externally the role is supported by both a Chartered Accountant and a Business Advisor.

To be successful in this role you will need to bring a broad range of accounting experience and good computing systems skills, with the ability to plan and multitask in what is a busy and varied role. While formal qualifications are not essential, we do see this role appealing to candidates who have gained a solid level of accounting experience in either the Chartered Accounting and/or commercial sectors who are seeking a new challenge, where they can be more involved day to day and play a key role in supporting a small management team.

The other key attributes we are seeking is an applicant with a positive approach, good communication skills, strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop the role further.
