Duty Manager

Full Time

A very hand-on role with a lot of interaction with guests, staff reporting to you, Kitchen staff, suppliers and hotel management. Daily tasks include:

  • Management of F&B operation on daily basis
  • Recruiting, training and supervising F&B staff
  • Stock control, staff rosters, performance reviews
  • Handling guest enquiries and complaints
  • Menu planning and cost controls
  • Sales reporting to management and target setting/reviewing
  • Event and functions quotes
  • Event and function management
  • Assisting GM with compliance matters
    Food safety, licences, H&S
  • Organising promotions and events
  • Comittment to ongoing improvements in both procedures and systems

Personal Attributes required:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in hospitality industry
  • Holds a current GM Certificate
  • Well developed planning and organisational skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Exceptional team leadership and communication skills
  • Creative and passionate about customer service
  • Legally entitled to work in NZ
  • Must have reliable transport and be able to work variable shifts
