Connect Supporting Recovery is an established NGO delivering recovery focused mental health care services in Hamilton and Auckland, with revenues approaching $10million and full time staff numbers of 140.

A long, strong history of successful growth has resulted in 5 residential and respite facilities, several mobile community teams, assisted employment and housing agencies. There is a mix of peer-led, non-peer, dual diagnosis and collaborative services, including a fledgling but vibrant social enterprise.

Innovation, flexibility and pioneering achievements are met in equal measure with grounded reality and the ability to speak out at the Emperor's lack of new clothes. Somehow, it works…

Hamilton is our largest facility, where a talented and effective multi-disciplinary team delivers residential, clinical and support programmes for "high and complex needs" individuals from Adult Mental Health and Forensic Mental Health Services. There are opportunities for people with their own lived experience of mental health distress and recovery to join the team and can act as role models to others.

These Casual rostered roles for Qualified Mental Health Professionals and Residential Support Workers include weekend work and overnight awake shifts.

We'd love to hear from you if you can comfortably demonstrate the following:

• Two or more years mental health experience, including risk assessment and deescalation.

• Client-centred, recovery-focused approach (a cliché, but still genuinely at the heart of all we do).

• Insight to know when and how to engage with whanau.

• Experience, instinct and decency to be appropriately culturally sensitive.

• Mountains of empathy with a few peaks of resilience, patience and firmness.

• A full drivers licence.

• A current Annual Practicing Certificate, in the case of the Mental Health Professional role.

• A working knowledge of MS Office.

Connect Supporting Recovery is a values based, innovative, maybe even slightly quirky environment. We will do our very best to give you the right balance of freedom, support, development, encouragement and aroha.

WCRHP – Registered Health Professional

WCRSW – Residential support worker

We look forward to working with you.
