Gutsy Senior-level Business Support role...plus much much more!, Interest in the Property / Investments / Funds management industry, Provide support to the entire business function of busy Investment Company.

Based in beautiful offices in Auckland's CBD, our client is a long established, privately owned investment company. Their investment portfolio has continued to diversify over the last few years, leading to a change in business model and now they require an additional Senior Level Business Support Executive to join their small, hardworking team.

In this role, you will work closely with the Director of the organisation, supporting him in all aspects of the company's investment activities. You will play a leadership role within the office, adding value to the entire business function.

This role will appeal to high achieving individuals, with strong commercial acumen, and a genuine passion for investments and money-making business activities. It presents itself as a very rare opportunity, where someone who has an interest, or some very real experience in the investment market, will relish being involved at a critical level in this very successful investment business.

Duties will involve:

  • Providing executive support to the company director
  • Business communications and negotiations
  • Managing relationships with Brokers, Tenants, Advisors, Fund Managers, Legal, Suppliers
  • Facilitation of investment documentation.
  • Involvement in the accounting function of the business
  • Preparation of business reports, presentations, etc.
  • Identifying business opportunities, potential investment and money making opportunities
  • Actively engaging in business networks
  • Involvement in due diligence and research activities
  • Supporting the property management functions
  • Ownership of project management

What you will bring:

  • Expertise in I.T - Intermediate MS Office skills
  • A solid technical knowledge in finance and accounting
  • Very strong Secretarial / Administration skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong sense of financial performance and money making activities
  • Interested in / knowledgeof the of the different financial markets and investment products
  • Deal Maker mentality. Confident decision maker
  • Strategic/lateral thinking and well developed analytical ability
  • Ability to anticipate problems, provide solutions and capable of working under pressure
  • Excellent organisational skills, be one step ahead
  • Very professional presence and behaviours. Highly articulate
  • Ability to manage your own day, while providing the support needed to run the business
  • Business support experience at a senior level (8+ years),(Possibly an EA / Practise Manager, or Business Analyst) and preferably from an investments/ financial markets industry background. Or possibly, you have run your own business.
  • Happy working in a small team
