Site Manager - Auckland based

I am currently working on behalf of an independently owned construction company who have developed a strong reputation for team support, quality builds and challenging, prestigious projects.

They have a 20 year history in Auckland and have had substantial growth over the last 7 years. They have continued to increase their staff size to support this growth. Company culture is something they are proud of. They are a supportive team who work hard together to achieve results they are proud of. Average just isn't good enough…. The management team show a real interest in their staff – they invest in their training and development and want to ensure their staff are learning and growing in the company.

They are currently needing to bring on board an additional Site Manager who has a good grounding in NZ construction, ideally with strong experience with stand-alone homes and ideally high end residential projects.

Please note - this role is based in Auckland

The ideal person will –

  • Be a qualified carpenter up to national certificate
  • Have their current LBP, site safe and first aid certificate
  • Ideally have 2 – 3 years' experience in an on-site management position
  • Be a strong communicator with fluent spoken and written English – you must be able to communicate clearly
  • Have a successful history of project delivery
  • Develop positive and productive relationships with suppliers, sub-contractors and colleagues

Role Responsibilities:

  • Managing the day to day running of sites
  • Ensuring Health and Safety is adhered to
  • Ensuring current construction methodology is applied at all times
  • Running tool box meetings
  • Liaising closely with the Project Manager to ensure the smooth delivery of the project
