We are a successful Private Training Establishment who has been operating in multiple sites around the country since 1991. We are now seeking a highly competent Academic Coordinator to join our head office team to ensure quality of educational delivery across our campuses.

Job Description

  • Collaborate with the quality assurance department, managers and teaching team to continuously improve the quality of delivery across the organisation
  • In conjunction with the programme and branch managers, ensure that all the programmes and academic delivery meets regulatory requirements (NZQA, TEC and other SSBs)
  • Coordinate, contribute and facilitate self-assessment activities across all levels in the organisation. Assists to ensure that the cycle of gathering information, monitoring, reviewing, self-assessing and planning is executed as per the requirements.
  • Spearhead and coordinate programme design, development, monitoring and evaluation
  • Contribute towards facilitating improvements to existing policies and procedures in line with continuous improvement philosophy
  • Assist in monitoring the processes and resulting data at management level to ensure compliance with the current policies and procedures.

Person Specification

  • In-depth knowledge of New Zealand Qualification framework, evaluation and quality assurance system is highly essential
  • Well versed with Self-Assessment and Review methodologies
  • Relevant tertiary qualification with relevant work experience (preferably three years or more), providing complex administrative and operational support in a medium to large sized tertiary education environment.
  • Good personal presentation. Strong organizational, planning and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Effective communication skills with an excellent command of English
  • This role involves working outside typical office hours including weekends and occasional travel outside Auckland.
  • New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a current NZ work permit.
