If you want to be one of the driving forces behind the elimination of new HIV transmissions in New Zealand by 2025, then read on!

The New Zealand AIDS Foundation (NZAF), who's been at the forefront of HIV prevention in New Zealand for the past 30 years, is looking for a Fundraising Assistant responsible for continuing our successful grants programme as well as assisting the Senior Fundraising Specialist on key fundraising events, donor acquisition and management.

This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to leverage their existing experience in grant applications and administration to be able to have a real impact on one of the most significant human challenges of our time.

You'll need to have knowledge and experience of fundraising in the not-for-profit sector as well as significant experience in administration, and grant applications to philanthropic trusts and other grant making bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and submit grant applications, and other proposals to ensure fundraising targets are met
  • Co-ordinate reporting and accountability for successful grants
  • Ensure administration and accountability of donations and grants is effective and transparent

Support the Senior Fundraising Specialist to:

  • Administer e-tapestry database as a key tool for recruiting and managing donations. This will include data entry, donor segmentation, email communication, reporting, and optimization.
  • Produce fundraising collateral and resources that support donor acquisition and management
  • Implement the NZAF World AIDS Day appeal, including the co-ordination of the campaign and related collateral; co-ordination and liaison for street appeals in Wellington and Auckland;
  • Implement all other NZAF fundraising events
  • Implement fundraising at other events including Ending HIV Big Gay Out

This role will be working directly with the Marketing, Communications and Fundraising Manager and the Senior Fundraising Specialist.

NZAF offers a competitive compensation package with a salary of $39,856-$44,284 (pro-rated at 0.6FTE), and benefits including one week of additional employer holidays on top of the minimum four weeks annual leave, and flexible work hours.
