The Company:

Our client is an instantly recognized and well respected organisation within their industrial sector where they customise, design and manufacture specialist products for their customer base.

The Role:

This is a senior role within our client's business where you will be reporting directly to the Managing Director as well as being part of the Senior Management Team where you will assist in the running of the business.

We require a well proven Senior Level Service Manager who has experience supervising a team of Technicians within the HVAC/R Sector.

Key focus of this role is to manage and grow the Service business as a Profit Centre.


To be effective in this role we require a person who is not only technically proven and adept with experience managing a team of technicians, but also you will need to possess excellent communication skills with strong commercial acumen and a depth of knowledge around successfully managing a commercial business

Overview of tasks:

  • Manage the installation team to achieve budgeted targets for sales, performance and profitability.
  • Plan workload to ensure adequate resources to complete projects
  • Training and leadership of team to ensure company and personal goals are met
  • Maintain regular contact with customers including performance reviews and identify new opportunities
  • Ensure all plant and equipment is kept in good working condition
  • Manage the purchase of materials and sub-contractors within budgeted margins
  • Ensure billing is managed and labour and materials correctly accounted for.
  • Manage the upkeep of fleet vehicles
  • Liaison with Sales and Production Supervisors to discuss current internal job status and future commitments and operate pre-planning schedules
  • Quality Control supported by documented corrective action documentation.
  • Cross functional communication and relationship management with other divisions of the company i.e. Sales, Engineering, Accounts, Purchasing.
