Scholastic is looking for an energetic primary Teacher to spearhead the Scholastic Education resources into schools. These resources include PR1ME Mathematics that is based on the pedagogy used in Singapore that is proven to be world's best practice in primary maths education; Jill Eggleton's literacy solutions including Key Links, Into Connectors and Connectors; and Literacy Pro, an online tool that matches students to books they can comprehend, motivates them to read and monitors their development.

As the Scholastic Education Manager, you will focus on developing and delivering professional learning and ongoing support to schools who are interested in, trialling or implementing our programs. It also encompasses developing business opportunities to find and support schools or stakeholders who may be interested in and benefit from learning about our programs.

As part of the broader New Zealand based sales team, the right candidate will work closely with the Head of Education at Scholastic Australia to be trained in this world-class pedagogy and how it is able to be adapted and used in New Zealand schools.

Based at our head office in Auckland at East Tamaki the role will also involve regular travel within New Zealand.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:

  • A primary teaching background
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • An ability to connect to the needs of schools, teachers and students
