What we're looking for

We are looking for a Programme Coordinator to assist the Programme Manager by being the central point of contact for all project related documentation that requires Investment Committee approval. The role requires excellent relationship building skills and the ability to juggle multiple demands.

The Programme Coordinator will provide project management support to the various EPA project work streams, and assist in the completion of project plans. These include:

  • Financial management and forecasting.
  • Project and programme reporting.
  • Engaging with stakeholders across the organisation to understand business and project processes.
  • Scheduling and planning to ensure key milestones are met.

Knowledge and experience required

You will need to be calm, practical and organised. You will organise meetings with Managers and staff.

across all groups, including sponsors of projects, Steering Committees, Project Managers, Investment Committee and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).

  • Proven project experience working at a programme level
  • Administration of projects, including financial documentation
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills to work with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience with procurement activities and processes
  • Knowledge and understanding of best practice project methodologies, practices and tools
  • Knowledge and understanding of the New Zealand public sector (highly desireable)
  • Familiarity with technical (IT, government and project) language
  • Experienced user of MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint , Visio and Project.
  • Ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Desirable)
  • Relevant professional courses/ certification; such as MS Project or Prince2 Foundations
