Problem Solving, Strategic Analysis, Maintenance and Shutdowns.

Our Client is a world leader in its sector operating in close to 20 countries Worldwide with a majority of their operation based here in NZ. They have reached such heights due to continuously setting new standards in product and service innovation and manufacturing environmentally sustainable products. The role would be based in the Waikato/BOP region.

The client is seeking a Facilities Planner type who would need to be seasoned in the shutdown aspects of large industrial sites. These could be short and sharp with a 9 to 10 day turnaround so being able to work under pressure would be a necessity.

Duties and responsibilities would include, but not be limited to:
  • Plan and schedule operational and facilities maintenance activities
  • Schedule and coordinate major shut activities for the provision of optimum plant performance with allocated resources.
  • Schedule work for completion by operations
  • Scope, plan and schedule work for completion by contractor(s)
  • Schedule and coordinate work and associated activities for major shuts including liaison with area planners and engineers to assess required work plans and scopes.
  • Ensure major shut execution is scheduled and executed efficiently and effectively.
The ideal candidate will be:
  • Trade qualified with formal qualification in maintenance planning or New Zealand Certified Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical).
  • Knowledge and ability in relevant computing applications and systems to meet the site's demands.
  • First aid certificate.
  • Proven experience in maintenance processes.
  • Technical knowledge of the maintenance and repair of assigned area of work.
  • Has participated in a maintenance planning training program.
  • Conversant in the use of MS Office.
  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of maintenance processes.
  • Industry experience.
  • Understanding of estimating.
