We provide resins, additives and cross linkers for architectural, industrial, protective, and automotive applications.

There is an exciting and challenging opportunity at our Penrose Site in Auckland for someone with a combined background in Safety Health and Environment and Quality who can make a significant contribution to our ANZ business.

Reporting directly to the Site Manager at Penrose the position also has some Regional involvement and will have indirect links into Regional SHE and Quality Executives located in Australia.

The key elements of this position will be to:

  • Ensure compliance with all current regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and administer the New Zealand SHE & Quality Management Systems.
  • Ensure conformance with company SHE and Quality Policies and Procedures.
  • In conjunction with site managers develop and implement a yearly SHE & Quality Improvement Plan.
  • Manage Penrose QC laboratory and staff.
  • Maintain the sites safety and quality auditing programs.
  • Lead and facilitate Accident & Incident Reporting, root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Lead and facilitate the Penrose Corrective Action Management System inclusive of customer complaints, supplier complaints, non-conforming product and audit findings.
  • To assist in improving Process Safety Management on the site and provide process engineering input into project work.

To succeed in this position, it will be highly desirable for the candidate to have:

  • Tertiary qualification with Chemical Engineering preferable.
  • Extensive knowledge & experience of systems and process approaches within a manufacturing environment.
  • Commitment to, Safety, Occupational Health, Environment and Quality principles and practices.
  • Ability to manage & motivate employees across multiple departments and functions.
  • Ability to work with other employees to drive projects and processes that target business improvement in areas of SHE and Quality and Process Improvement.
  • Knowledge of NZ H&S Regulations including MHF, HSNO Regulations and ISO systems.
  • Be an effective facilitator for Management of Change and Improvement.
  • Strong unit operations process engineering capability.
  • Ability to lead in depth investigations of incidents and assist with trouble shooting of site issues
