Due to exciting business growth, we have a Team Lead position that we are looking for an 'A Player' to fill!

Affinity is a clever HR/ Payroll/ Workforce management system that many Australian and New Zealand customers rely on every day. Our mission is to "Organise employee information to increase productivity" and everything we do is aligned to our vision of simplifying the complexity of managing people through the use of our clever technology.

Our outsourced payroll processing division is based in Whangarei, and provides services to a multitude of small, medium and large customers across New Zealand and Australia.

This role is full time, and our ideal candidates should also be willing and able to travel for short periods when required within NZ and to Australia.

Job tasks and responsibilities

You are someone who has a strong desire to provide top class customer service to internal and external customers with a passion for coaching and mentoring staff to deliver quality in everything we do. In addition to the many rewarding challenges that working in our business offers, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading your team of direct reports in alignment with the business strategy, vision and values to achieve departmental deliverables, KPI's and team tactical plan goals
  • Upskilling the wider team in the different aspects of great customer service as required by individual staff development plans
  • Ensuring our billing practices and processes are robust, adhered to and aligned to OLA's
  • Assisting with recruitment, induction and staff retention processes

Skills and experience

We are looking for an 'A Player' who can demonstrate the following experience:

  • A successful track record leading a team in a fast paced changing environment
  • At least 3 years recent experience in a payroll management role is highly advantageous
  • Proven recent experience leading staff through change
  • Strong commercial acumen, presentation, negotiation and communication skills
  • Self sufficient, organised and capable of scheduling and prioritizing your own work
  • Consistent attention to detail and proven problem solving ability
  • Service delivery management in an Outsourcing/ Fully Managed Service environment
  • Success with recruitment and retention of staff
