We are looking for a Key Account Manager to join Edgewell Personal Care ? a leading global FMCG Organisation (Our brands: Schick, Banana Boat, Playtex...just to name a few!). This is a perfect role for someone to work for a leading global FMCG organization, to establish on-going mutually profitable business relationships with assigned customers through the development and execution of sustainable monthly, quarterly and annual business plans.



This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sales / Account professional to be responsible for growing distribution in a fast paced and ambitious team.  In this role, you will be responsible for achieving channel objectives, KPIs and targets as assigned.  You will also manage one Account Executive.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Participate in the integrated Commercial Planning Process through development of annual Customer Plans that support Brand and Channel Plans
  • Develop sales plans and monitor the performance of nominated accounts, whilst identifying variations, initiating contingency plans, to achieve company objectives
  • Oversee and develop timely and accurate forecasts (volume and spend)
  • Negotiate all Promotional Programs and deals
  • Ownership and development of all Key Account activity communication, in collaboration with the Account Executive
  • Implement trade marketing objectives and continually look to further develop and strengthen the instore visibility at home bay as well as throughout the store
  • Maintain effective contact with Key Account Customers (Through the organization) and industry associations to achieve the sales objectives of the Company
  • Manage, coach, and develop the Account Executive
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of all the allocated accounts on their business performance



The preferred candidate would ideally be tertiary qualified and have gained experience working within the FMCG environment in a similar capacity.  You should also have the following competencies and skills:

  • Leadership capability
  • Proficient in Aztec / Spaceman / Apollo and related software platforms
  • Critical thinking - problem solving, analysis
  • Strong category management orientation (Demonstrated)
  • Strategically agile, ability to understand and work collaboratively through the P&L to deliver solutions and grow returns (Profit/Sales)
  • Proven ability to build, maintain and leverage relationships;
  • Strong planning and project management capability within teams
  • Demonstrated effective management of Trade Spend (Other resources)
  • Demonstrated track record of strong effective collaboration with other departments (Marketing/Category/Supply Chain/Finance)
