As a result of an internal promotion, we are looking for a proactive and professional Senior Financial Accountant to lead our central financial accounting team and partner the University's finance community.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, and leading a team of four direct reports, you will be responsible for:

  • financial management, annual reporting as well as contribution to the preparation of short and long term forecasts and strategic plans
  • development, maintenance and communication of finance policies and procedures
  • general accounting advice and support to the University's finance community, which includes faculties and service divisions
  • planning and management of special projects that will advance the development of Finance and the University?s consolidated finances.

To enable success in this role you will be a Chartered Accountant with experience gained in a similar role in a large and complex private or public sector organisation. Added to this will be your proven ability to lead, coach and motivate a team in the delivery of a high quality and professional service. You will be solutions driven, a strong communicator and able to build effective working relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience with PeopleSoft Financials, or similar, is required.
