Join the team at Auckland's leading boutique hotel, Assist management team in all areas of hotel operations.

 

We are looking for an Accounts Administrator to provide maternity cover from now until September 2018.

Hotel DeBrett is in the centre of Auckland's re-emerging inner city entertainment precinct. It lies at the nexus of restaurants, bars and cafes spanning the wider Shortland/High Street quarter. Comprising 25 suites and rooms, a 50-seat restaurant, two bars and multiple function spaces. Hotel DeBrett has the potential to become one of Auckland's premier restaurant and bar destinations.

We are looking for a full time accountant with Xero experience who can provide accounts, payroll and administrative support to all areas of hotel. We are looking for a someone who can work autonomously and is able to meet deadlines.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

·      Accounts payable

·      Bank reconciliation

·      Revenue reconciliation

·      Assisting with GST returns

·      Weekly payroll

·      PAYE filing

·      Assisting with end of month journal entries and management accounts preparation

·      Financial analysis and reporting

·      Filing and other administrative tasks

We are looking for a candidate who has at least 1 year accounting experience in the above areas. Someone with hospitality accounting experience will have an advantage but this is not essential.  We can be flexible with working hours.

This role will report to the Operations Manager and owners.
