The Role

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this Waikato / Bay of Plenty account management role is seen as a valuable region to the business due to its already strong established business relationships. This role would suit someone who is well presented, has strong business acumen and who has the confidence to openly talk to specifiers, architects & designers within the region.   Having previous experience working with these clients will certainly work to your advantage as will the ability to read building plans and handle multiple projects at any given time.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an existing portfolio of clients and continue to build on these relationships
  • Identify & develop new sales opportunities resulting in specification of company's products
  • Obtain accurate information on client's needs through to company's designers
  • Present an informative & relevant business presentation to clients
  • Project manage specified jobs from initial design through to installation
  • Maintain an in-depth awareness of industry trends, developments & forecasts
  • Provide new & existing clients professional expert advice to help influence buyers decision
  • Deliver an excellent level of service and continuously build on reputation

Skills & Experience

  • Must be based  in either the Waikato or Bay of Plenty region due to nature of the territory
  • Proven experience selling B2B ideally within the building channel - however this is not essential
  • Strong business acumen with a commercially sharp nature
  • Clear & concise presentation skills with ability to influence credibility in the market
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects whilst still taking care of the finer details
  • A passion and understanding for colour / design and textiles will work to your advantage
  • High energy levels with a charismatic approach and ongoing positive attitude
