The Client

This US owned, global organisation, is aggressively growing within the technology industry. Their world -class products have taken off rapidly enabling them to expand their offices to locations such as Australia, US, Mexico, and Europe.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be required to provide financial and management accounting support for the New Zealand and Australian business.You will be leading a team of 2x Accountants, and provide cover in the absence of the Finance Manager.

Your key responsibilities as follows;

  • Preparation & presentation of the consolidated monthly management reporting pack
  • Managing a team of 2 direct reports
  • Produce ad-hoc financial reporting & analysis as & when needed
  • Financial Reporting - Review & analyse month/year end reporting
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations - Review & clear reconciling items
  • Taxation - Review GST & FBT returns.
  • New product costing, revenue analysis & operational performance reporting.
  • Cash flow - Daily & weekly forecasting
  • Payroll review & reporting.
  • Responsible for driving internal business improvements & supporting ad hoc efficiency based projects
  • Assist with robust & thorough analysis of budget to actual; forecasting actual variances as required
  • Assist with the preparation of the ANZ budgets & forecasts
  • Maintain business KPI analyses

The Ideal Candidate

My client is looking for someone who has the ability to work independently, with a high level of motivation and energy that enables a self starter approach. You will have to be deadline oriented, have the ability to work with a diverse array of people, and build successful working relationships

To be considered for this role, you will also need the following technical competencies;

  • CA or equivalent (Preferably qualified within the 'Big 4')

  • Relevant University degree

  • At least 4 years post qualification experience

  • Previous experience as a Senior Accountant for a medium sized high growth NZ company for 2+ years

  • Experience with managing a team/direct reports

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel user

  • SAP

  • Excellent Analytical skills

  • Monthly financial reporting experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Experience with a global organization.

  • Influencing skills to manage the expectations & demands of your stakeholders
  • Although, being able to hold them to account with your own expectations
  • The ability to explain detailed & complex financial information to non finance professionals
  • Initiative - self managed, able to act independently where circumstances dictate
  • Qualifications & experience required;
