What's the role?

Hilti New Zealand is currently seeking a real go getter, keen on growing a sales territory based in Hamilton and looking after the Waikato region.The ideal individual will have an entrepreneurial spirit and be hungry to succeed, taking their earning potential into their own hands.

What does the role involve?

As one of two Account Managers in Waikato, you will need to be able to work autonomously and be a problem solver. Day to day you'll be out and about visiting existing customers and hunting down new potential customers. You could find yourself on construction sites or in offices and warehouses. As an Account Manager in the Waikato region, you will need to be flexible with travel and a full car New Zealand drivers license is required.

Ours is a model of professional consultative selling, and it's a hands-on job. It means rolling up your sleeves to demonstrate some of the most pioneering products in the industry, along with advising on all the services and after-care that come with the Hilti brand. Far from traditional cold calling, it's about nurturing relationships with warm and responsive customers, and helping them find the most innovative and cost-efficient solutions for their needs.

Day to day, you'll report to your Area Sales Manager, who will also be there to help you manage your career.

What you need is:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment, courage and competitive drive
  • A thirst to learn and challenge yourself
  • Experience in the industry preferred but not essential
  • Sales/Customer service/retail experience desirable
