This newly registered opportunity is with a popular firm with influential presence in their segment of the professional accounting and business advisory services arena. We are looking for a CA qualified  professional with a minimum of 4-5 years current experience in the field. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, outstanding verbal and written communication skills and ability to prioritise, organise and work efficiently within budgets care all essential requirements for this key senior role.

Some of the main duties and responsibilities highlighted in our client's brief include:

  • Preparation of year-end financial statements
  • Monthly reporting
  • Budgeting, forecasting and Cashflow analyses
  • Managing client assignments
  • Some reviewing
  • Providing clients with systems advice/trouble shooting
  • Dealing with various third parties, including IRD, banks and lawyers
  • Assisting managers and partner with high-end advisory projects for some of the largest?clients?
  • Various ad hoc tasks and responsibilities...

This role will suit a a technically well-rounded accounting professional who thrives in a client-facing role with strong technical and client/workflow management focus.

Working as part of a high-performing team of commercially savvy professionals with a wealth of experience in compliance and business advisory you will be exposed to a variety of projects. You will work with both domestic and global commercial organisations and complex groups of companies with multi-million dollar turnover.

Good understanding of/previous experience with IFRS reporting will be a definitive advantage for this role. Good working knowledge of MYOB (AO and/or AE) and Xero would also be considered a plus. Outstanding communication and client presentation skills are essential.

This can best be described as technical role that will appeal to a high-end senior accountant or a client manager who enjoy client assignments of high complexity and daily client interaction.

This role does not involve team management (apart from some delegation of work down to less experienced team members) and has some limited reviewing responsibilities. Therefore it will be particularly appealing to professional with a technical and client-servicing bent, as opposed to people management.

Salary indication: $75,000 - $105,000 (depending on experience)
