Our client is looking for someone is who self-motivated, enthusiastic and hard working to take on a Payroll Administration / Clerk position. You must be someone who can be adaptable and likes variety because this is a diverse role where no two days will ever be the same. As well as all of the usual day-to-day responsibilities you will also be required to roll up your sleeves and help out?wherever needed around the office.

It is highly desired that you have will be coming from a junior payroll job or gained some payroll experience already - having anywhere up to three years experience is suitable for this position.

It is important that you have great time management skills so you can juggle multiple priorities and handle the busy periods. You need to have excellent communication skills as phone manner is vital in this role. A high attention to detail is also essential. Due to the nature of the role you have to be able to work well both autonomously and with others. Ideally you will have MYOB experience and good excel skills. A high attention to detail is a must.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Part payroll support
  • Preparing regular wage runs
  • Ensure and verify all wage payments are accurate and correct
  • Assist with payroll related queries across the business
  • Reception support - answering incoming calls, dealing with couriers etc.
  • Maintenance of records in accordance with compliance and audit requirements
  • Processing high volume payroll
  • Knowledgeable and up to date with the related NZ legislation
  • Supporting the office with any ad-hoc tasks, as required
