Our client is seeking a candidate to join a rapidly growing Electrical/Heating/Air Conditioning Company that is well established in the Wellington region with a team of 15.

• Part/Full time position depending on the candidate
• Plimmerton/Porirua Based

As the Accountant, you will have sole responsibility for a range of duties including:

• Accounting
  • Preparation of monthly management reports for the Parent and 3 other companies within the group
  • Preparation of annual budgets
  • Preparation of the Annual Financial Statements
  • Preparation of cash flow statements
  • Project profit and loss analysis and reporting
  • Preparation of payment claims under to the Construction Contract Act 2002
  • Retention reconciliations
  • Preparation of GST and FBT tax returns
  • Management of the fixed assets register
• Administration function including:
  • Office and Secretarial role

Ideally, the key personal and professional skills, attributes, and knowledge that we are looking for include;

• Demonstrated experience in a similar accounts position (minimum 5 years)
• Advanced knowledge of XERO
• Advanced knowledge of Smart Payroll
• Advanced knowledge of simPRO (project management software)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Industry knowledge or experience being a bonus
• Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
• Careful attention to detail
• Desire for self-improvement
• Building a successful working relationship with the rest of the team and Company customers
