The Role

Reporting to the COO, this role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting activities that support clear and effective decision making and informed organisational management. You will be part of the leadership team and help manage staff. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing financial and management accounting services to Executive and Operational Leadership Teams and other stakeholders
  • Analysing and reporting performance against budgets
  • Preparing month end journals and reconciliations
  • Assisting with preparing annual and quarterly budgets
  • Ensuring integrity of information in finance systems including overseeing the Accounting Support Function and staff
  • Monitoring daily cash flows and review bank reconciliations
  • Assisting external auditors by providing information as requested
  • Providing insight for new projects and Initiatives?


About you

To be successful in this role you will be a CA or CPA qualified accountant with strong experience using financial management systems. You will have advanced Excel and analytical skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines if required.As a community organisation, culture fit is vital in this role and you must be someone who can relate to a variety of stakeholders and work collaboratively. Your ability to guide and translate for stakeholders in interpreting financial data will be highly valued.
