This is an excellent career opportunity within the business advisory practice of a high-profile firm, which has played an influential role in the chartered accounting sector for more than five decades.

The firm offers leading technical expertise in a number of areas, including financial accounting, management reporting, tax and management consulting.

This is a senior role, part of a team of 12 professionals led by a commercially savvy partner who has recently celebrated another major milestone in his impressive track record. We are looking for a CA qualified or nearly qualified individual with well rounded technical competencies to join one of the firm's business services teams and be part of the future growth of this highlysuccessful practice.

The main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of year-end financial statements
  • Periodic management reporting
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Team supervision, training and mentoring of junior staff
  • Managing a portfolio of clients
  • Managing workflow and ongoing client requirements
  • Assisting with special advisory projects (involving corporate finance work)
  • Various other ad hoc duties and responsibilities

You will be responsible for a group of sizeable SME clients across industries such as:

  • Manufacturing
  • Construction
  • Investments
  • Retail
  • Technology
  • Property development
  • Professional services and others..


Our client is seeking a confident, self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude and proven client-servicing competencies who will be able to quickly take ownership of a portfolio of key clients.

Your impeccable interpersonal and client presentation skills will be crucial. Desire and potential to step up and gradually take on managerial responsibilities and assist the senior management in the firm with business development will be seen as a definite plus.

In the longer term, this role will provide you with exposure to high-level advisory projects involving:

  • Business valuations
  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Succession planning
  • Asset protection
  • Strategic planning
  • Forensic accounting and others..

The role will appeal to a technology savvy person with good working knowledge of Xero and MYOB and interest in new developments and trends in modern technology and the accounting profession as a whole.
