About the business and the role HMI is at the forefront of the transport technology revolution as a world-leading producer of custom-built Intelligent Transport Systems. The organisation has been flourishing and growing, and some business re-focussing has occurred. In November 2017 it re-structured its operations to comprise three subsidiary companies; HMI Technologies (that supplies electronic signs, sensors and services in NZ and Australia), HMI Manufacturing (the builds electronic equipment in China), and ohmio (that is building one of the world's first autonomous shuttles for a global market). These companies are under a parent company, HMI Global that provides corporate support, and conducts research and development for the Group. The HMI Group now has more than 50 employees in New Zealand and Australia, and is ready to grow further. This role is one of two new senior corporate support positions which report directly to the President of HMI. Skills and experience The person we are looking for will have: strong financial leadership skills and the ability to influence good experience with financial and planning systems the ability to think strategically to lead strategic planning experience in providing financial insights and advice excellent relationship management skills. It would be advantageous if you understand the fast-growth small business environment. You will be required to build systems, processes and controls which will ensure financial integrity and support business growth.
