Auckland City Mission "HomeGround", High profile campaign, Exciting project.

The purpose of Auckland City Mission is helping people in desperate need by providing excellent integrated services and effective advocacy.

The Mission has embarked on a new multi-million dollar project, Mission HomeGround,which will see 80 new studio and one-bedroom units built on the Auckland City Mission's current Hobson St site. As well as new homes Homeground will include a range of additional services on site, such as a health care centre, an expanded detox facility, community cafe, rooftop garden and other community and social service facilities.

We now need a Full Time Fundraising Campaign Manager to manage and implement the next phase of our capital campaign strategy, ensuring that the Campaign meets funding objectives. Reporting to the CEO and supported by a part-time Campaign Office Manager, the Campaign Manager will be the behind-the-scenes insistent voice of the Capital Campaign and also represent campaign executive members where appropriate.

The role entails a wide range of duties including:

  • Implementing the approved Fundraising Campaign Plan according to the established timeline;
  • Further developing the draft Campaign and communications plans;
  • Maintaining the all Campaign records to ensure the accurate and efficient management of the fundraising Campaign;
  • Attending Ask meetings as required;
  • Maintain open, direct and frequent communications throughout the Campaign with all personnel involved in the Campaign using meetings, telephone discussions, correspondence and regular circulation of a Campaign 'newsletter';
  • In conjunction with the City Mission Fundraising Manager, develop and maintain systems for gift records, acknowledgments and pledge collection.

"HomeGround" is an important and high profile project for the Auckland City Mission and candidates must be able to demonstrate that they have significant experience and expertise in this area of the fundraising profession. The nature of the role will also require strong time, organisational and relationship management skills along with the ability to be available as and when needed including out-side of usual office hours.
