Platinum Recruitment are excited to be recruiting for an Environmental Coordinator, managing all aspects of environmental contaminants within construction maintenance to meet health and safety regulations.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to be based in Dunedin who has experience dealing with and knowledge on regulatory requirements around Asbestos and how to properly deal with contaminants in a safe manner.Knowledge around contaminants management software/systems will be a major advantage as managing and distributing records will be a key part of the role.

Responsibilitiesinvolved:
  • Providing support and guidance to other members across the company
  • Maintainingcontaminants records.
  • Assist in training
  • Input on contaminants management and procedures
  • Positively encourage health and safety practices

The right candidate will be/have:

  • At least 2 years experience in relevant asbestos industry
  • Understanding around relevant regulatory requirements
  • Strong communication skills in order to explain asbestos requirements to others.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to read surveys and sampling data.
  • Computer literate across Microsoft office suite
  • Testing and analysis would be preferred

We are wanting someone who can build a really good rapport with members across the company, show initiative by working competently and can priortise work to meet strict deadlines.
