WHAT'S ON OFFER

We are looking for a seriously good Project Coordination Lead to join our highly successful Project Management Office in Wellington.This role will see you assume overall responsibility for the delivery of support for Projects and/or Programmes. You will manage, motivate and develop the team of five Project and Portfolio Coordinators inorder to provide direction, ensure the team achieve their objectives and constantly improve quality of service.

Specific responsibilities of this role include:
  • Interfacing with the business both internally and externally in order to build and maintain appropriate working relationships and meet the requirements of the unit, area or team.
  • Defining, developing and maintaining appropriate data relevant to the team
  • Monitoring the workload of the team, recognising changing priorities and managing the workload accordingly in order to achieve team targets and continue to provide a quality service.
  • Managing the escalation process for the support staff and dealing with the problems and issues affecting the availability of service.
  • Performance planning and management of team members
  • Administrative oversight of non-project managed engagements

WHAT DO WE WANT FROM YOU

We are ideally seeking someone with a background in Project Coordination who has progressed into a leadership role.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
  • Proven competency in managinga team of support and specialist staff.
  • Experience of working in a highly customer-focused role.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Significant skills in using appropriate IT systems.
  • Strong focus onefficiency, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A strong business acumen
