We're looking for a General Manager who can lead and manage a tight knit team across two separate restaurants. The role involves managing the two FOH teams, and working in constant communications with the two head chefs and bar manager. (The bar services both restaurants.)

Gypsy Caravan is a uniquerestaurant where we pride ourselves on the freshest, modern international cuisine and quirky cocktails. Our cooking styletakes influence from various different techniques around the globe. We have an innovative and creative kitchen team, focused on elevating humble ingredients, and making use of interesting international produce.

Miss Moonshine's is all about meat, craft beer, fire & of course a little moonshine! Our cookingstyle is inspired by American BBQ pits and centres around our Yoder Smoker direct from Kansas. It is new to NZ and one legit way to pay homage to our finest quality meat and produce. In essence we are North American vs Kiwi Modern.

The GeneralManager is responsible for implementing and maintaining service standards. They should be building a team and leading them from the front. We have a great crew and a family culture, with a staff meal every day and drinks after service on the weekends. We are looking for someone who is organised and can manage the admin side of things like bookings, staff rosters andimplementing systems. While also creating the right vibe and atmosphere in the restaurant. Ideally we would like someone with a few years experience in hospitality management, but for us personality and drive to succeed will be the deciding factor.

To apply you must have:

  • An energetic and enthusiastic personality
  • The ability to motivate and direct a team to have fun on the floor
  • The rights to work in NZ
  • A natural born leader
  • At least 2years experience in a similarrole
  • LCQ and mangers certificate required
